GSOP 8 Kicks Off This Weekend

The Grand Series of Poker returns to bwin Poker on Sunday 26th February 2012, for the start of Season 8. With 18 different poker tournaments offering a guaranteed $3,250,000 in prize money, GSOP 8 is simply not to be missed!

As we told you last month, the Grand Series of Poker is returning to bwin Poker for an eighth season. GSOP 8 promises a minimum of $3,250,000 in tournament prize money, across a total of 18 events with a wide range of buy ins to suit all bankrolls.

The action gets under way on Sunday 26th February (at 20:00, GMT +1), with a $190 + $10 Deepstack No Limit Hold’em tournament and a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000. Ninety minutes later, GSOP Event 2 begins a $50 + $4 No limit Hold’em Turbo Rebuy tournament.

If those buy ins sound a little too rich for your own bankroll, check out bwin‘s wide range of micro stakes GSOP 8 satellite tournaments, that make it possible to be involved in the GSOP 8 action for next to nothing!

The GSOP 8 Grand Slam final promises a guaranteed prize fund of half a million dollars, making it one of the largest poker tournament ever held on the network. Last season, the winner walked away with $169,435!

If you’re not yet a member at bwin Poker, it’s a good time to think about joining. Not only could you grab GSOP glory, but bwin are currently offering a bonus of $500 to all new players, as well as running a “Rookie Challenge”, giving players access to daily $100 freerolls!

The game is $2 / $4 Fixed Limit Hold’em at your local casino, where the standard of play is generally loose, with plenty of players taking a flop, though not particularly aggressive. The table is full and you have about $200 in front of you. You are dealt Jh-Th in the big blind.

Playing Small Pairs In Tournaments
