The greyhound racing from Wimbledon on Saturday the 31st of May is the biggest night’s racing in the whole calendar year as the Greyhound Derby 2014 Final takes place along with a string of real top quality races. There are three main finals on the card and we have previewed those individually but below we offer free greyhound racing betting tips on some of the supporting race, including a 5/1 selection with William Hill.
We start in the 7:38pm stayers race where Romantic Rambo is the clear favourite having won 5 of his last 6 races, including a victory over this trip in impressive fashion on quarter-final night. He is a worthy favourite given his form and he has a good draw to work from with 5 unseeded runners on his left – and I wouldn’t put anyone off a bet on Rambo at 2/1 but I’m taking a chance on Droopys Posh in trap 1 at 5/1 with William Hill. He ran in the same race on quarter-final night but found trouble early, trouble that I don’t see him having in this race – coupled with the fact he has some nice times here previously and is clearly on form having broke the track record at Sittingbourne two races ago, means he appeals at the prices. Stainless Steel is another who could pose a threat having went well in trials.
The three runs in a week stage of the Derby looked to take its toll on Aero Nemesis as he exited in his semi-final last week but a week’s rest should see go fresh again in the 7:57pm race and grab the victory at evens (2.0) with 888sport. His out-and-gone tactics served him so impressively during the Derby campaign and he is expected to get back to winning ways in the same fashion. If this had been his opposition in a Derby quarter-final he would have went off significantly shorter but after his run last week we are able to back him at a good price – despite running a slight risk that he is fatigued.
