Wednesday’s greyhound action from Romford can be viewed live on the Racing Post website with the first race at 7:31pm. There are no open races on the card this evening but there are still some quality races with the opportunity to place some profitable bets. Our bet of the night comes in the 8:02pm race where the selection has been forecasted to go off at 9/2.

We suggest using bet365 for your our free greyhound racing tips today, where you can earn up to £200 in free bets when signing up, and with early prices quite rare for non-open races thus we do not miss out on any prices.

The most common trip around Romford is 400m and thus it essential to demonstrate early pace around the track to get out into an early lead. Below we’ve highlighted our two best bets of the day, with a list of our selections highlighted at the bottom for those who like to place many bets.

The highlight of our free greyhound racing betting tips from Romford for the 3rd of July comes in the 8:02pm race where Hows The Wife in trap 6 is not long back from a lay-off but looks set to lead and make all at a forecasted 9/2.

Hows The Wife was rested for the entirety of May but has came back in June, trialling well twice, before cracking out in an A7 graded race last week to score in a fast 25:04s.

For that, Hows The Wife has been upgraded to the A6 grade but that can’t be seen as too big a negative as the dog was running in the A3 grade in the latter part of 2012.

The key thing for this bet is the sectional timings of Hows The Wife’s last appearances. He has clocked sectionals of 3:71s, 3:70s and 3:70s and those are fast sectionals for the A1 grade, nevermind A6.

Whilst there are faster dogs in the races, a repeat of those sectional times will allow the selection at least a one length lead at the start and then he should be able to push on and win. With a lead looking guaranteed, we can’t turn down the predicted 9/2 that will be on offer at bet365.

Our second best free greyhound racing betting tip for the Romford card this evening comes in the 9:06pm race with the theory the same as the first tip – we should lead and have enough about us to hold on.

Trap 3 Adamant Rose has rose quickly through the grades in June, having ran in an A7 at the beginning of the month, and now finds herself running in A4 company but she definitely has enough about her to win in this grade.

In her last 5 races, Adamant Rose has 4 sectionals of 3:72s or less, with a 3:60s on the 6th of June really standing out. Those sectionals are easily fast enough to lead in this race, despite others having decent early pace too.

A repeat of her time from last week should be good enough to win this race and there is nothing to say she can’t go even quicker given the recent improvement and the forecasted 3/1 looks like a good price.

See below for our selections for the majority of the Romford card tonight, with an emphasis on early pace in the main. Backing them all to level stakes would only require two winners to turn a profit.
