With the Greyhound Derby over for another year, there is a slight lull in the greyhound racing world but with racing every day of the week it is not hard to find some action to bet on. Today we have taken a look at the Monmore evening card which can be viewed live on the Racing Post website and have picked out a number of selections, including our best free greyhound racing betting tip of the card in the 7:39pm race at a forecasted 13/8.

William Hill have early prices up on a couple of the races on the card and we suggest using them for your bets today as they offer ‘Bet Odds Guaranteed’ and have a £25 free bet bonus for new customers.

As with the majority of graded racing early prices are hard to come by and thus we have to make do with the forecasted prices when making selections but if T6 Roseville Power goes off at the 13/8 it is forecasted to then we have an excellent bet in the 7:39pm race.

Roseville Power is a little bit ‘hit and miss’ out of the traps but fortunately for us the dog can win in both ways: by breaking and leading, and by coming from off the pace. If the dog breaks as well as it can this race will be over, I see it turning second to the dog in trap one before pushing on and showing his quality.

If the selection is slow away we still have a fair chance to track the leaders as it has the fastest recent times of all 6 dogs, even when coming from off the pace. Another positive is that Roseville Power has been running in the A5 grade recently and turns out today in A6 company, whilst a lot of the competition look like A7 level dogs.

Whilst Roseville Power is our best free greyhound racing betting tip for the Monmore evening card today we have a number of other selections too, with the best of those being T5 Head Chief in the 8:10pm race at a forecasted 5/2.

Head Chief ran a blinder in defeat in A5 company last week, clocking 29:10s and just being touched off on the run in, and goes again in the same grade where normally an upgrade would have been expected.

The dog that ran on past Head Chief last week has been running in A3 recently and is a strong type whilst the only similar danger this week looks to be trap 1 who will need to come from further back.

Head Chief will use his sprinter’s early to stretch the field out and whilst they will come back to him, he should hold on to take the victory.

Our final main free greyhound racing betting tip comes in the 9:32pm race where T1 Cappa Cochise looks well drawn to pinch an early lead and hold of the late charge from trap 2. Forecasted at 9/4, I reckon we’ll get a bit bigger at race time.
