Monmore have two open races worth looking at on Thursday the 29th of May over different distances and we have free greyhound racing betting tips in both of the races. Ladbrokes offer 3/1 on one of the selections, where a bitch looks to continue her excellent form.

The bookmakers look to have the 8:58pm right with Thurlesbeg Hawk, in trap 1, and Moss Lane Sue, in trap 5, and the head of the market with the greyhounds available to back at 7/2 and 3/1 respectively. Thurlesbeg Hawk looks to be drawn tremendously well as he attempts to score on his staying debut – with trap 2, Ballymac Eco, slow away with a tendency to run middle whilst Hawk sticks to the rails whilst demonstrating reasonable early pace. His solo trial time of 38:35s is fast and plays some relevance if we believe he will get the clear run that he looks set to be gifted.

Moss Lane Sue is in excellent form over Monmore’s 630m and the simple question is whether she will be able to pick up Thurlesbeg Hawk before the line. Supporters will have to make do with some sweatly palms given Moss Lane Sue’s style involves running on very late with many of her victories coming with her achieving the lead on the run in. She boasts a strong 5 wins from 9 races over course and distance.

Key in this race could be that the middle runners look potentially drawn the wrong way with Coologue Smokey likely to be moving left from trap 4 with the veteran Boherna Bridge and least holding his position from trap 3. That should give Moss Lane Sue a clear run early and she is capable on occasion of trapping well. She should turn in, at worst, 3rd or 4th and with times of 38:23s, 38:25s and 38:27s recently from off the pace she is favoured to pick up Thurlesbeg Hawk. Moss Lane Sue can be backed at 3/1 with Ladbrokes and is a great bet given the race make-up and the strike rate she has over this trip.

The second of our free greyhound racing betting tips comes in the 9:32pm race where a number of real quality greyhounds go head-to-head with notable early Derby losers Express Master and Themopsonspeed tackling the likes of Ericks Gav and Newinn Rocket.

Express Master is a worthy favourite and when everything clicks into place for the Chris Allsopp-trained greyhound he can be one of the fastest four bend runners in the country. He impressed in the Derby first round where he was somehow allowed to go off at 8/1 before exiting in the second round but his subsequent trial around this Monmore 480m trip showed that he is fine fettle with a sharp 28:17s time recorded.

That kind of performance where he would break best and show excellent early would see him be too good in this race. Ericks Gav is drawn directly outside in trap 2 and is slower away and should drift right and whilst he can run strongly, Express Master might be too far gone. Themosponspeed was highly thought of pre-Derby and should win plenty of races this summer but in this race it might take a super fast break for him to clear the field from trap 5 in this race and given he is 5/2 we should be happy backing Express Master at 2/1 with Coral.
