The main attraction of the Henlow greyhound card for Sunday 14th of July is the three semi-finals of the Bookmakers Bunny Gold Cup where BetPal followers will be interested in the 2nd semi-final at 7:45pm where our selection Be Real runs and has a chance. We have 4 free greyhound racing betting tips for the Henlow card, none of which come from the Gold Cup, but each of which have a great chance – none more so than our main bet where we advise backing an 11/2 chance with bet365 who can surprise the favourites with his early pace.
An initial look at the 8:15pm race would give you the impression that the two market principals in the bookend traps have the early pace to take control of this race but a closer look has led us to believe that T4 Unlikely Ash can spring a shock in the early pace department and prove that the 11/2 on offer with bet365 is excellent value.
The reason we make Unlikely Ash our bet of the night is that the we can find negatives against the two favourites and feel Ash is being undervalued and is a standout price to win the race.
Doonane Lad in trap one is the 2/1 favourite but perhaps hasn’t been coming away as well as he can recently and he might just lose half a length at the start which would likely rule out his chances. Plus a strike rate of 1 win in 11 races wouldn’t fill us with confidence.
The other market prinicipal is Killala Star who is available at 9/4 and has been showing exceptional early pace of late. However, he is coming from trap 6 and that might be a negative for this dog, having only ran from the box twice and on both occasions not getting out as well as he can.
This brings us to Unlikely Ash, our selection, who has been trapping very well recently and also running very fast – 27:72s last time out for example. Two of his last three runs over this 460m trip have seen Ash show enough early pace to lead this particular race and he really sees out the trip well, in fact he actually sees out the 550m trip well so if leading it would be hard to see anything coming back at him.
In reality, Unlikely Ash should be a fair bit shorter in price as he has a great profile and draw to go well in this race, making him an excellent value bet at the 11/2 available with bet365.
Our second best free greyhound racing betting tip for the 14th of July comes in the 8:45pm race and sees us revisit a winning selection from last week as we suggest backing Blackrose Bullet at the 4/1 available with William Hill.
This is a tougher race than last week but Bullet still maintains a good profile to go well in this company too. Blackrose Bullet is not only a dog who shows fantastic early pace but he also sees out the 460m of Henlow very well.
Sectional times of 3:73s, 3:75s and 3:71s in his last three races show that his early pace is consistently fast and he can translate that into an early lead this evening. He has been dipping under 28 seconds on the clock and that will prove good enough to hold off Racy Thunder who was impressive last week when going past Coolavanny Bert.
The third of our free greyhound racing betting tips sees us select another Blackrose greyhound, this time in the shape of the speedy bitch, Blackrose Eve in the 7:15pm race. bet365 offer 7/4 on Blackrose Eve crossing the finishing line first.
Blackrose Eve’s early pace is very good and it will become even more evident in a race which seems to lack any real competition in the dash to the first bend. She is also clearly in good form as she dipped under 28 seconds for the first time around this trip last week and the upgrade to A3 class won’t hold her back.
