Hove host the final of their bitches competition, the Brighton Belle, on Thursday the 5th of September with the field headed by the classy bitch Bridge Ruth. Bridge Ruth is a worthy favourite but is priced as short as 4/9 in places and we have found an alternative for our free greyhound racing betting tip for the final of the Brighton Belle, with Paddy Power offering 3/1 on our selection.
The final goes off at 9:24pm, and Bridge Ruth is the short price she is based on a storming 29:64s performance in the semi-finals but in both the first round and the semi-finals she went off with a starting price of 1/2 so for her to potentially go off at a similar price, against a tougher field, in the final illustrates that perhaps she is underpriced.
Bridge Ruth, in trap 3, has Precious Lucy on her direct inside in this race and in the heats, Lucy was able to lead Bridge Ruth and that might be a slight worry for Ruth backers. Furthermore, the greyhound in trap 4, Jaytee Jules, has shown faster sectionals than Bridge Ruth round-on-round and thus can be expected to lead both Ruth and the race.
Jaytee Jules’ 4:09s sectional from the semi-finals would lead this race by at least the best part of a length and, with Bridge Ruth likely to be held up, Jules can grab enough of an advantage to overcome the deficit she needs to find on the clock over Ruth – with Jules having won both races thus far in 29:82s and 29:84s.
Jaytee Jules is definitely priced at a backable 3/1 with Paddy Power, with Bridge Ruth being underpriced.
Another alternative is to back Baby Sky, from trap one, each-way, as she is being slightly discounted by the bookmakers at 33/1, despite being the strongest finisher in the race and clocked a very respectable 29:99s in the semi-finals when finishing second to Bridge Ruth. Any trouble early from the market principals will definitely help.
