The Fed Cup clash between France and Germany should be one of the most interesting clashes this weekend is going to see. Both teams are full of quality players and it would not be that surprising to see the home team putting the home conditions to good use.

The bookmakers believe that the visitors deserve to be the favourites, but appearances can be quite deceiving when it comes to the team competitions and it does not really make much sense to think that the German team is just going to whitewash the determined French line-up, which is full of talented players.

Marion Bartoli has not played for her country for quite some time, but she is now apparently ready to put all those disputes behind and to try her best while playing for France. Obviously, she is not in the form of her life right now, but she is known for her spirited performances and now would certainly be the ideal time for her to produce some of those and lead her team to a great win over the rivals from Germany.

Kristina Mladenovic should also be able play her part this weekend, as she was playing excellent tennis in Paris, beating Julia Goerges, Yanina Wickmayer, and Petra Kvitova. Meanwhile, the German team will be pinning its hopes on Sabine Lisicki, as the rest of the team is rather poor at the moment. And even Lisicki should find it hard to win more than one point against the duo of Bartoli and Mladenovic. Throw in the fact that this match is going to be played in front of plenty of French fans and it should be easy to see that the Germans will be in for an uphill battle that might not end in their favour.
