This weekend’s Football League accumulator bet is especially juicy – back our recommended treble with Pinnacle and you’ll get huge odds of 10.09 (a shade over 9/1)! MK Dons look like good value, but what other football accumulator tips have we got in store for you…?
1 – Coventry City vs Bury
The first selection in this weekend’s recommended football accumulator bet is recently relegated Coventry City. Having had a couple of matches to find their feet in League One, including a closely fought 1-1 draw with title favourites Sheffield Untied in midweek, Coventry should make light work of a distinctly average looking Bury side who will be without skipper Steven Schumacher, having picked up a red card in midweek.
Only two sides conceded more goals than Bury on the road in League One last term (they conceded eight goals in Sheffield alone) and if Coventry are serious about returning to the Championship at the first attempt, the likes of Stephen Elliott, Cody McDonald and Callum Ball need to be filling their boots against sides like Bury. The current best price of 1.81 (Pinnacle) seems a shade generous, and they look like bankers for your weekend football accumulator bets.
2 – Swindon Town vs MK Dons
I don’t understand the hype around Swindon, personally. They are currently third favourites for promotion from League One, ahead of sides like Doncaster and Coventry, and I find it laughable. They couldn’t even beat an abysmal Chesterfield side in last year’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final, so how they’re going to cope with the likes of Sheffield United, Coventry or even Stevenage is beyond me. If anyone wants to back them to go up, come and find me for best odds guaranteed.
In the meantime, this weekend will be their toughest test of the fledgling season so far, as they entertain the Milton Keynes Dons. The Dons deserve their tags as title contenders – Robinson has kept last season’s side together and added some useful experience to the mix, and a best price of 3.26 (Pinnacle) to beat a side whose lunatic manager has recently decided to sack his captain looks like ridiculous value. All Swindon have done so far is beat a team that came up from League Two with them (at home), before failing to beat Hartlepool. I’m here to be shot at if Swindon do win at the weekend, but they will be mid-table at best come May and the Dons are definitely going into my weekend football accumulator – and you should follow suit.
3 – Oxford United vs Plymouth
Dropping into League Two, Oxford look like a great bet to beat Plymouth at a best price of 1.73 (BoyleSports) and are a must for all of your football accumulator bets this weekend. They have bagged maximum points so far, despite playing two sides who will fancy their chances of at least making the Play-Offs, and this year promises to be a successful one for the Us.
Plymouth haven’t started life in League Two especially well, picking up a solitary point so far this term and failing to score a single goal, and it could be yet another season of misery for Pilgrims fans. Oxford will surely be too strong for Carl Fletcher’s men and for that reason, they just have to go into our recommended football accumulator bet this weekend.
The best bookmaker for placing this weekend’s Football League accumulator bet is undoubtedly Pinnacle, as they are best price about two of our three tips and not far behind on the third. At present, the recommended treble pays juicy odds of 10.09 (9.09/1) which means that a £20 bet would return a very tasty £201.80!
