Match: Republic of Ireland v Greece
Bet of the Day: Greece Win
Best Odds: 3.0 with Pinnacle
Greece are regularly underestimated by layers, particularly away from home, and they look a reasonable price to heap more pressure on Ireland Coach Giovanni Trapattoni on Wednesday evening. The Italian has already stated he will use this game as an opportunity to look at some of the players on the fringes of his team, and the news that Robbie Keane will not be heading back from the US illustrates the point. The hosts also have a long list of injuries including Richard Dunne, Sean St Ledger and Marc Wilson. More worryingly, Aiden McGeady has an ankle injury and Jon Walters has also been sent back to his club. With such a shortage, the Greeks can take advantage, and they have a decent record when travelling to other countries. They have won three of their four qualifiers so far including trips to Latvia and Slovakia. Back in August they also saw off Norway 3-2 in a friendly, so they do not roll over away from home.
