The Betpal Football Bet of the Day heads for England’s second tier, and the clash between two play-off hopefuls, Brighton and Millwall. The Seagulls won the reverse fixture back in September, are they good value to do so again?
Match: Brighton v Millwall
Bet of the Day: Lay Brighton
Best Odds: 2.12 with Betfair
Kick Off: 19:45 18/12/2012 (GMT)
Millwall continue to be overlooked by layers, despite a strong run of form that shows little sign of slowing. The Lions have suffered one defeat in fifteen, and recorded another notable win versus Leicester City at the weekend to rubber stamp the form. With three wins and a draw from their last five away games, including trips to Blackburn and Wolves, the odds on them losing here look too short. These sides met on the 22nd September, when Brighton won 2-1. Since then the form of both sides has transformed, Millwall have gone on their great run, while the Seagulls have managed just three wins from the next fifteen fixtures in the League. Two of those victories came versus the bottom two teams in the division. With the hosts struggling to score, and Millwall recording seven clean sheets from their last ten, a fraction above even money for a home win looks out of step. A side who have won three from fifteen, take on a side who have lost one in fifteen. 2.12 shots?
