Football Accumulator Treble

Barnsley v Middlesbrough
Birmingham v Charlton
Hull v Brighton

Treble pays 9.88 with Coral

Barnsley v Middlesbrough

Side with the visitors in this opening day clash at Oakwell. The tykes lost 10 of their 19 home games last season, and after losing key players both in January (Ricardo Vaz Te) and again this summer (Jacob Butterfield), they face an uphill struggle to survive in England’s second tier. Boro meanwhile, boasted a very good away record last term, winning 10 on the road, and in contrast to the hosts, will be looking at getting involved in the promotion scrap come May.

Birmingham v Charlton

Birmingham had an immense home record during 2011/12, winning 13 of 19 and being defeated just once at St Andrews.  Summer departures of Foster, Mutch and manager Hughton are more than off set by the emerging talent of Jack Butland, the signings of Ambrose, Lovenkrands and Ravel Morison and the arrival of Lee Clark into the managerial hotseat. While Southampton and Norwich impressed in the Championship after promotion from League One, even if Charlton can emulate them, this will still be one of the hardest games they will face and the odds look attractive about a home win.

Hull v Brighton

Hull were strong defensively last term, and their summer transfer business has bolstered them further in that department. 12 home wins last season took them to the brink of the play offs and under the guidance of Steve Bruce, they will hope to go even better this term. Brighton have also added to their squad, but they travelled poorly for the majority of last season, losing 10 on the road and the Tigers look a decent price to get off the mark at the first time of asking.

Football Accumulator Tips

The Middlesbrough, Birmingham, Hull treble pays 9.88 (nearly 9/1) with Coral and all 3 look decent value as singles.
