The weekend before last, we recommended our debut football accumulator tip and got off to a winning start, courtesy of three League One sides – a treble that paid out at odds of 7.45! If you’d followed our recommended £10 stake, you’d have pocketed a cool £74.52 – that’s £64.52 of pure profit! This week’s recommended football accumulator bet pays a little under 8/1 (6.80) with William Hill and we’re confident of making it two from two in football accumulator tips…
1 – Cardiff City vs Leeds United
The arrival of Neil Warnock at Leeds has not had the impact that the board and supporters would have been hoping for and they have nothing left to play for this season. Warnock, famous for his love of the transfer market, will already have one eye on the summer’s wheeling and dealing and hopefully, the remaining eye won’t be paying too much attention to their trip to Wales. But even if they are fully focused, their form is poor – just two wins in the last eight, both against sides in the bottom eight of the Championship.
If that weren’t enough of a reason to include Cardiff in your weekend football accumulator, here’s some more for you. Cardiff haven’t lost in their last eight matches, and have only been beaten once in their last eleven games. Furthermore, they occupy the final play-off spot by four points, with two matches still to go, so it is still very possible that Middlesbrough could catch up with them. Who thinks that Malky Mackay is the type of manager to let his players ease up before the job is complete? Nobody? Get Cardiff in your accumulators this weekend (best price 1.73, Bet365).
2 – Tranmere Rovers vs Hartlepool United
Under Ronnie Moore, Tranmere look a completely different side. Moore has steered Rovers clear of relegation and up to 11th in League One, managing to nick valuable points against high flying Sheffield United and Notts County, and beating the likes of Stevenage along the way. Their home record has been great all season, having lost just three times, with Charlton, Huddersfield and The Blades all failing to win at Prenton Park.
Neither side has much to play for, but Rovers should easily have enough to beat out of form Hartlepool, who have won just once in their last ten attempts – against Yeovil. Hartlepool have struggled for goals all season and only the bottom two sides plus Leyton Orient have found the onion bag on fewer occasions than the Monkey Hangers. At a best price of 2.05 (Blue Square) Tranmere look like an excellent addition to your weekend football accumulator bets.
3 – AFC Wimbledon vs Torquay United
For our third and final weekend football accumulator tip, we take a trip to AFC Wimbledon in League Two, but it’s not the hosts we are interested in, as they are in poor form, winning just once in their last seven matches. Their overall home record isn’t exactly glowing either, having won just a third of their 21 matches on their own patch.
Torquay on the other hand are fourth in League Two, only outside the automatic promotion spots on goal difference. This is an absolutely must win game for them (as opposed AFC, who can neither reach the play-offs nor be relegated) and I expect them to come out all guns blazing. Their form is solid, having drawn their last two matches (both against promotion chasing sides) and having lost only once in eleven matches. Away from home Torquay have only lost once in six matches – away to top of the league Swindon Town. At a best price of 2.05 (William Hill), they look good value for our weekend football accumulators.
The best online bookmaker with which to place this week’s football accumulator tip is undoubtedly William Hill, whose combined odds are a little under 8/1. We recommend using £10 from the winnings obtained from our last recommended accumulator bet to place a treble, but don’t forget to include our tips in your own accumulators this weekend. Good luck!
