Reading v Crystal Palace Fri 8pm

Once again Reading fly the flag for the Championship after their run to the semi-fonals last year and beating West Brom 3-1 in the 5th round. On the face of it this is another winnable tie. Palace have been in terrible form in the Premier League with no wins and only one point since Christmas, particularly hard hit by injuries to key players.

Jst in the last couple of games though there are signs that Palace are returning to form, coinciding with the return to action of the dangerous Bolasie. An away draw at Sunderland was a reasonable result and they dominated the game at home against Liverpool, losing to two defensive howlers by McCarthy and Delaney.

Reading are only 23/10 here, i would want a higher price for the upset. Crystal Palace at 7/5 with William Hill to get back on track for me

Everton v Chelsea Saturday 5.30pm

Everton have flair and goal-scoring ability in their midfield and striking combinations but their inconsistent defending has prevented a higher league position this year. This isnt a great draw for them as since the arrival of Hiddink Celseas domestic form has been excellent as the players and manager pull in the same direction. No losses since before Christmas and finally converting chances at the other end of the field

Chelsea are 8/5 for the game with Betfair Sportsbook, a stand out price for a team that will put out a strong side aiming to win the competition in a down year in the Premier League because of form at the start of the season

Arsenal v Watford Sunday 1.30pm

Arsenal are 11/4 favourites to retain the FA Cup after winning their replay at Hull on Tuesday night 4-0. This came at a cost though with Mertesacker, Gabriel and Ramsey joining a long injury list. Arsenal should be favourites for this game of course as Watfords form has tailed off since Christmas with their over-reliance on Ighalo and Deeney a problem now the goals have dried up.

Watching Watford live last weekend i was struck by how narrow they played, how there was no threat from midfield but on the upside how compact and orgainsed they were defensively. Tat may bode well for an away FA Cup tie at one of the big sides.

Arsenal are as short as 1/2 here, Watford 11/2. I like the look of the draw at 7/2 with BetVictor (but would fancy Arsenal to win a replay)

Manchester United v West Ham Sunday 5pm

Such is the form of West Ham, now above Man U in the league that this is not a foregone conclusion for the home side. We know from previous rounds that West Ham have put out as close to first choice sides as possible and Man U have a two leg European match coming up against Liverpool, and in the meantime they are injury hit in key areas too.

Yet Macnhester United are odds-on for match and West Ham available at nearly 7/2 to pull off another big win. I think a replay here is a decent possibility too and the draw is available at 13/5 with BetVictor
