Montréal survived a scare one night ago and Chicago will try to replicate their performance tonight when the LA Kings at United Center. The Blackhawks trail the Californians by two games and any mistake at this stage will call their untimely elimination from the playoffs.
Bet: Chicago Moneyline
Odds: Winner Sports 2.20
Before the series began, Chicago were credited with the first chance to advance to the next stage and they won the opening game, only to lose the next three in a row. Perhaps the biggest concern for the hosts tonight will be to close the gaps existing in their defense, as they allowed an average of five goals per match in these three defeats. Patrik Sharp and Kane were virtually nonexistent in the last match and Toews barely managed an assist, which pretty much sums it up.
Having home ice advantage once again, possibly for the last time in the series is of critical importance, because they have the chance to force another game in Los Angeles. The previous night was one of those rare occasions when the Kings came out firing on all cylinders and managed to take the lead in the first period. They are one of the teams best at staging remarkable comebacks but they dominated match 4 for from one end to the other. Five different players scored a goal and Chicago simply can’t defend effectively against the Kings, so they need to cram them into their own half.
This is literally a do or die match for Chicago, whose very survival in the playoffs depend on the outcome of the match played in front of their fans. The odds are not terrific for a home win in regulation time at 2.20 with Winner Sports, but punters should put their trust in the Blackhawks one last time.
