The Kings failed to win in Los Angeles and they could pay a hefty price for their third period meltdown, when the series shifts to Chicago. It is time for the Blackhawks to show their true colors and win a game that will send them straight to the Stanley Cup final where the NY Rangers are waiting.
Odds: Winner Sports 2.10
Home ice advantage didn’t mean much so far, as the two teams won just once in front of their fans, but it could mean a great deal tonight. The Blackhawks are gearing up for the final and if they can keep up their goals production they will be serving the Kings a taste of their own medicine. Los Angeles came from behind twice in the playoffs, to cause huge upsets for San Jose and Anaheim, but they are now on the verge of losing for a 3-1 advantage.
With everything on the line, they will travel to Chicago knowing that Kane and Sharp are in great form, while their goaltender is struggling. Quick was disappointing in the last two games, but it would be downright cynical to blame him for everything. The backline was awful and allowed the Blackhawks to send plenty of shots at his net, with no less than 45 coming his way the last time he played in Chicago.
Just one match was decided in overtime in this series, after the Blackhawks squandered consecutive leads, so there is no point in taking the cover of a moneyline wager. Punters would be better off backing Chicago to win in regulation time at odds of 2.10 with Winner Sports.
