Second Legs of the Champions League Quarter finals next week
Tuesday 16th April
Barcelona v Manchester United
Although Messi was effectively shackled in the first leg at Old Trafford, Barcelona were never really threatened after they took the lead with an early own goal. At the Nou Camp the game should set up a bit better for Manchester United, who under Solskjaer have more pace and more of a counter-attacking threat but it is of course a huge task to overtake a first leg deficit.
As United cannot just sit back and defend they will have to come out and Barcelona at 4/9 outright and 5/6 -1 on the handicap seems a reasonable bet with Bet365
Juventus v Ajax
Juventus with Ronaldo back and once again scoring drew 1-1 in the first leg at Ajax with an away goal,a perfectly acceptable result. Ajax will of course be up against it here and Juventus should be expectedto qualify and can be backed at 4/6 with Bet365
Wednesday 17th April
Manchester City v Tottenham
Tottenham’s 1-0 first leg win came at a huge cost with Kane now out for the season with damaged ligaments. City of course had an Aguero penalty miss and seemed to be a bit leggy, perhaps not surprising when fighting for four trophies on all fronts. Still Manchester City are 1/3 to win this second leg against Spurs and should qualify. A no bet game at the prices though.
Porto v Liverpool
Liverpool won the first leg against Porto very comfortably 2-0 benefitting from what looked like the kindest of the English side Champions league draws. Liverpool should qualify comfortably and be backed to win the second leg at 11/10 with Bet365.
