William Hill’s online casino is staging a number of skill games tournaments throughout December, for players of Dominoes, Backgammon, Gin Rummy, Poker Dice and Blackjack. The first tournament in this Winter Skill Festival begins at 19:00 GMT on Wednesday 8th December.
The leading British casino and bookmaker are putting up a total prize pool of £10,000 for their “Winter Skills” tournaments, as each of the five events has a guaranteed prize fund of £2,000. The “William Hill Winter Skills Festival”, as the tournaments are being dubbed, gets underway at 19:00 GMT on Wednesday 8th December, with a £2.50 Poker Dice tournament. Two hours later, the Dominoes tournament begins, also priced at £2.50 to enter.
Backgammon and Gin Rummy begin on Thursday 9th December and the Blackjack tournament kicks off on Friday 10th December. All three of these tournaments begin with a £2.50 buy-in too.
There are four “Quarter Final” tournaments per skill game and the top 16 players in each of these tournaments progress to the next round. Those unfortunate players who don’t qualify will be able to buy directly into the next round for £10, though each tournament round will be capped at 128 players.
Each event in the William Hill Winter Skills Festival features two Semi Final stages and once again, the top 16 from each will progress to the Grand Final, where the remaining places can be purchased for £40, with each individual Grand Final capped at 64 participants.
Players finishing 1st and 2nd in the five Winter Skills Grand Finals will receive a free entry into the William Hill Skill Grandmaster Finals, which are due to take place on January 6th 2011, in addition to their share of the prize pool.
Players can only take one seat in any particular skill game round and players arriving more than two minutes after the scheduled tournament start time will forfeit their match, so make sure you arrive promptly!
