The Championship sees three games on Tuesday. Burnley v Huddersfield looks to offer the best value bet, but with neither side able to claim a win recently, the bet is not to be found in the match odds market.
Match: Burnley v Huddersfield
Betting tip: Under 2.5 Goals
Best Odds: 1.92 with Pinnacle
Kick Off: 19:45 26/02/2013 (GMT)
Huddersfield and Burnley have won just one game between them from their last five Championship fixtures, so picking a winner from two sides so lacking in confidence is tough. A better option is the ‘Unders’ bet. While the Terriers have been on the wrong end of one or two thrashings away from home of late (two 6-1, and one 4-0) their matches have actually seen less than three goals on eight of the last twelve occasions. They also struggle for goals, bagging just two during their last six games. The case for the match finishing with fewer than three goals gets even stronger when Burnley are considered. They have not scored more than two in a game since the days of Eddie Howe back in October, twenty one games ago. Of their last twenty League games – just five saw three goals or more – 75% finish ‘Under’. Given this very strong trend for low scoring games, and Huddersfield’s poor record in front of goal, a price hovering just below evens looks a steal.
