Boston is on the verge of sweeping the Penguins after winning Game 3 in overtime and all they need is a victory in the remaining 4 rounds of the series. Pittsburgh played much better away from home, but they will need to do more if they are to push the series into game five and capitalize on home ice advantage.
Odds: Unibet 2.35
Pittsburgh sent more shots at the net defended by Tuukka Rask but just one of them got past the talented goalkeeper who made the match of his lifetime two days ago. They gave Tomas Vokoun another chance after conceding four goals in less than 15 minutes and the veteran goaltender didn’t let them down. Sadly he didn’t receive enough goals of support and the hosts scored the winning goal in the second overtime, with this event marking the first game this season when the Penguins lose outside regulation time.
Game four is a do or die one for the visitors and we expect Pittsburgh to play with the same sense of urgency and put any precaution aside. Beau Bennett and Chris Kunitz have better served the team so far then their captain, but Sidney Crosby is on of the few players who can win a game all by himself. Boston doesn’t rely on celebrities, but played brilliantly as a team and that was the key for victory in each of the three games so far.
By now punters should have no hesitations in backing what the bookmakers regarded as the underdog in the series. Odds of 2.35 offered by Unibet make it worth aiming for regulation time victory, despite the fact that game three required two periods of overtime for a winner to be decided.
