I fell into the world of gambling whilst studying politics at
university. After discovering poker online, I formed the university’s
poker society which I chaired for three years. By the end of my time
there, I still had no idea what I wanted to do career-wise and ended
up working in a branch of William Hill, quickly working my way up the
ladder before moving to London to work for a fledgling sports betting
company, where amongst other things, I work primarily as an odds
compiler. In my spare time I write about all forms of gambling, I
regularly attend horse race meetings and follow my beloved Sheffield
