Many will be expecting Novak Djokovic to win after seeing him beating Juan Martin del Potro in such a stunning match, but there is a lot to be said about the chances of Andy Murray, who is going to get the support of the entire crowd. This is not Roger Federer we are talking about here, this is Novak Djokovic – and it is therefore hard to see anyone supporting the Serb in London in this particular match.

Of course, Novak Djokovic is a tremendous competitor and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him walk away with the title at the end of the day, but there is hardly any value in backing him at these odds. These big matches are hardly about the previous H2H record or any previous forms – they are usually decided by the performances the two challengers produce on the given day – and Murray seems to be in the ideal position to take the title today.

After all, as far as his Wimbledon chances are concerned, this seems like the best chance that Andy Murray has ever had to win it – Roger Federer was on a roll last year and he was simply not ready for a match like this before last year. This time around, he has both the quality of play that is needed for a victory and the mental readiness for doing so, which means that backing the Scot at the odds that can be taken should offer plenty of value to shrewd tennis punters.
