Swiss tennis fans are finally going to enjoy some really tasty treats in the city of Gstaad on Wednesday, but it is almost impossible to find any value in the odds that are being offered for their heroes.

Thankfully, there are plenty of interesting match-ups that bettors can choose from – and some of them could easily turn out to be much more interesting than they look like at first glance.

Feliciano Lopez, the world’s number twenty-nine, was really impressive during this year’s Wimbledon, but he has done very little since then, with his performances against the likes of Jan-Lennard Struff and Jan Hernych being well below the standard he is capable of when he is firing on all cylinders.

The surface in Gstaad didn’t appear to help his cause on Monday either, so there is every chance that he will have plenty of problems against the world’s number eighty-two, Andrey Kuznetsov, who could – and probably should – have dealt with Sergiy Stakhovsky in an even more convincing manner than he did. The young Russian seemed to be enjoying his time out there and he should draw plenty of confidence from such a decent victory, so it is hard to not fancy his chances against the Spaniard in this kind of form.

With both players being able to serve well, the overs might look like the most appealing selection of them all, but an outright bet on Andrey Kuznetsov should nevertheless offer even more value to courageous punters. He seems to be rising through the ranks very quickly these days – and this is an opportunity that he simply cannot afford to miss if he wants to progress even further as soon as possible.
