AC Milan are now as short as 17.00 to win the 2011/12 Champions League, after pulling off a surprise draw against reigning champions Barcelona yesterday, at the Nou Camp stadium.

Milan flew out of the traps an registered an early goal, courtesy of Alexandre Pato’s first minute strike, though Barcelona responded with efforts from Pedro and David Villa. AC Milan stuck to their task and were rewarded with a last minute equaliser, struck by Thiago Silva. 2-2 remained the final score.

The majority of bookmakers reacted by easing the price of AC Milan to around 21.00, though Bet365 are sticking to their guns and remain a best price of 26.00 about the Serie A champions.

Chelsea battled to a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge, with goals coming courtesy of David Luiz and new signing Juan Mata. That result saw the Blues move to the top of Champions League Group E, as rival sides Genk and Valencia drew 1-1.

However, the performance wasn’t sufficient to stop a few bookmakers – such as Bet365 – from pushing the price of a Chelsea outright victory out to 13.00, from 11.00.

Arsenal were denied three points by a late Ivan Perisic strike in a 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund. The Gunners had gone a goal up in Germany thanks to Robin van Persie, but were unable to hold on. The other game in Group F of the Champions League saw Marseille beat Olimpiakos 1-0, a result that puts the French team top of the group.

Stan James were less than impressed with Arsenal, pushing their price for Champions League success to a stand out price of 34.00.
