Saturday’s free horse racing tips bore plenty of fruit as we landed a 41/1 (42.00) double. Read on to find out what we have in store for Monday 1st October, including news of an interesting Ron Harris (pictured) trained 12/1 (13.00) chance with William Hill…
4.50 Bath – Spic ‘n Span @ 9/2 (5.50) with Ladbrokes
6.05 Roscommon – Baily Green @ 7/4 (2.75) with BetVictor
Longshot of the day:
5.50 Bath – Ficelle @ 12/1 (13.00) with William Hill
The first of our free horse racing tips for Monday October 1st is Spic ‘n Span, currently a best price of 9/2 (5.50) with Ladbrokes to land the 4.50 at Bath. A former course and distance winner who is capable of running well on any surface, the Ron Harris trained seven year old shouldn’t need to do much more to win today than when finishing second last time out (off a mark of 1lb higher than today).
It’s hard to see past Baily Green in the 6.05 at Roscommon and therefore this six year old bay gelding is an obvious choice as the second of Monday’s free horse racing tips. Clearly in good heart having won four on the spin, he’s also won on both of his appearances over course and distance and even as short as 7/4 (2.75) with BetVictor, I think he’s great value.
Our bigger priced Each-Way tip of the day is also a Ron Harris trained horse running at Bath, this time the 5.50 race where Ficelle seems overpriced at 12/1 (13.00) with William Hill. The filly hasn’t won since April and isn’t always the most consistent of beasts, but overlooking her last time out effort on the All Weather, she wasn’t disgraced the time before on soft ground when finishing third behind stablemate Spic ‘n Span. A performance similar to that on today’s better ground would see her in the mix and at a her current odds, I’ll be keen to have an Each-Way nibble.
