We’ve taken an early look at this weekend’s lower league matches in search of value and have come up with a little football accumulator bet featuring just three teams, that pays £247.80 for a £20 stake with Pinnacle – that’s odds of 12.39 (11.39/1)!
1 – Colchester vs Stevenage
Colchester are one of the poorest sides I’ve seen in League One so far this season and I wasn’t surprised to see them rolled over at the weekend by a Yeovil team that are hardly world beaters themselves. That victory ended a run of six straight defeats for Yeovil, which gives some indication of just how bad Colchester are. They may have recently beaten Hartlepool and Swindon, but I’m far from impressed – Di Canio’s men are having issues off the field while Hartlepool are nailed on to go down. Colchester have failed to beat some really poor teams this season, and they will lose again at the weekend.
Stevenage continued their unbeaten start to the 2012/13 campaign with a victory over Scunthorpe at the weekend, leaving them second in the League One table. Last season’s surprise package have picked up where they left off and I can’t find any reason to oppose them here, especially not at a juicy best price of 2.88 with Pinnacle. A good value start to our weekend football accumulator bet.
2 – Rochdale vs Morecambe
I have been keen to oppose Rochdale at times this season, but I am big enough to put my hands up when I get it wrong – and it looks like I may have been wrong about Dale. After a shaky start to 2012/13, they are now unbeaten in six, including wins over Rotherham and League Two leaders Gillingham.
Morecambe have picked up four points in their last two matches, recovering after a run that saw them collect just a single point from a possible 15, but I can see Rochdale bringing them back to Earth with a bump this weekend. Pinnacle are currently a best price of 2.01 about Dale and this looks like good value to me, so into our football accumulator bet they must go.
3 – Burton Albion vs Bristol Rovers
Burton are in good form at present, going unbeaten in their last seven matches and scoring three or more goals on three separate occasions during that run. That kind of firepower should be more than enough to see off a poor Bristol Rovers side that have only mustered 9 goals in 10 League Two matches so far this season.
Currently a best price of 2.20 with Coral, I think that Burton look like a great value addition to anyone’s football coupon this weekend.
Pinnacle is undoubtedly the best bookmaker for our weekend football accumulator, as they are currently paying odds of 12.39 (11.39/1). A £20 stake with them returns £247.80, as opposed to the £235.20 on offer with nearest rivals William Hill.
