Last weekend’s lower league football accumulator was a near miss at a big price, but this week’s is much less of a gamble and we’re pretty confident of success. Coral are currently best price about all of our selections and a £20 stake on this weekend’s accumulator bet currently returns £150.40 – pretty sweet, huh? Read on to see our tips…
1 – Hull City vs Burnley
They featured in last weekend’s lower league football accumulator and they delivered, so I see no reason to desert Hull this weekend. The Tigers have now won six of their last eight Championship matches and as I said last week, the two defeats in that sequence came to sides in the top three, which is hardly a disgrace.
Burnley are far from a top three side and are struggling of late, losing both of their last two matches to weaker sides. One of those was at home to 14th placed Charlton, the other away at third bottom Ipswich who have scored just 13 goals all season. Last month they struggled to see off Bristol City (who are second bottom and look terrible this term) conceding three in the process, while against Cardiff and Crystal Palace – both genuine automatic promotion contenders – they conceded a total of eight goals. Hull’s current best price of 1.80 (Coral) is nowhere near the value of last week, but it still looks a good bet to me and simply has to go into your accumulator bets this Saturday.
2 – Leeds United vs Crystal Palace
Leeds fans may be boosted by news of their takeover bid, but I can’t see the players being too happy about it. In all likelihood, they won’t care a jot, but it certainly could cause some unrest. Neil Warnock’s position may now be under threat and players might be wondering about their futures. In any case, Leeds are in woeful form having failed to register a win in any of the last seven league matches, including a 6-1 capitulation against Watford on home soil.
Crystal Palace on the other hand, are clearly the form team. Top of the Championship thanks to a 14 game unbeaten run that has featured 11 wins, they are scoring plenty too, with 35 goals so far this campaign and 3-0 and 5-0 scorelines fresh in the mind. I just can’t see past Palace and I’ve no idea how Warnock is going to mastermind a success against his former club, so Palace must go into this weekend’s accumulator bet at a current best price of 2.50 (Coral).
3 – MK Dons vs Colchester
Dropping into League One, I notice that Milton Keynes have been in good form of late, with narrow wins over promotion hopefuls Sheffield United and Tranmere the standout results. After a slow start, they’ve picked up nicely and now lie in third place, just three points away from the promotion slots.
They face a poor Colchester outfit who, in my mind at least, are punching above their weight in 16th place and will be lucky to stay up. They’re hardly in good form right now, with just one win in their last five League One games (and that came against lowly Bury) and I can’t see them getting any joy at Stadium MK. Milton Keynes look like bankers for this weekend’s football accumulators, so in they go at a best price of 1.67 (Coral).
Coral are the best bookmaker to use for this weekend’s football accumulator bet, as they are best price about all three tips. A £20 stake on this accumulator with Coral (at the current prices) returns a healthy £150.40!
