Friday 8th March
6.35am Hurricanes v Highlanders

The Hurricanes got their second win of the season last weekend beating the Brumbies comfortably 43-13 and now face a tough early season New Zealand conference match up with the Highlanders who also have a 2-1 win-loss record, that loss coming last weekend 24-19 against the Rebels

The Hurricanes are installed at -7 on the handicap and I like the Highlanders +7 at 10/11 to keep it close.

8.45am Rebels v Brumbies

The Rebels are top of the early Australian conference having upset the Highlanders 24-19 last weekend. The Brumbies were losing heavily in Wellington, their second loss of the new season and that accounts for them being +4 on the handicap for this match in Melbourne. I like the Rebels to cover -4 at 10/11

Saturday 9th March
4.15am Crusaders v Chiefs

The Crusaders continue to show why they are favourites for a third successive title with wins in their first three games of the season, including last weekend 22-12 in Brisbane against the Reds.

The Chiefs were subject of a stunning shock losing 15-30 at home to the Sunwolves in week 3 and have lost their first three games of the season

Not surprisingly the Crusaders are one of the biggest handicap favourites of the week at -12 at 10/11 which they are likely to cover

6.35am Blues v Sunwolves

The Blues are winless after three games. In week three they travelled to Argentina losing 23-19 to Los Jaguares while the Sunwolves got their first win of the season and a famous victory at the Chiefs

The -13 handicap for a New Zealand side at home to the Sunwolves is very low by recent standards, as the recent Japanese win has brought the spread in. No bet

8.45am Waratahs v Reds

The Waratahs come to this game after a bye week in week 3 with a win and loss in the first two weeks. The Reds have lost their first two games of the season, away at the Highlanders and at home to the Crusaders. Coming off a bye against winless opposition the Waratahs can be backed -7 at 10/11

1.05pm Lions v Jaguares

The Lions have lost two of their first three games and don’t look to be force they have been in recent seasons. Losing 30-12 at home to the Bulls was a big surprise.

Los Jaguares beat the Blues 23-19 for their second win of the season from the three home games to start the campaign off.
I like the look of Los Jaguares to cover +7 at 10/11 on the second game of their South African tour.

3.15pm Bulls v Sharks

Surprisingly the Sharks lost 16-11 at home to the Stormers in week three for their first loss of the season whilst the Bulls pulled off a surprise 30-12 win at the Lions to also go to a 2-1 record
This should be a tight game, and marginal preference is for the Sharks +4 at 10/11
